Passionate About Supporting People Through Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring
Hi, I’m Gareth, the founder of Rigden MindCare and an ACA registered counsellor, coach, and mentor based in the Redlands. Rigden MindCare is a registered NDIS provider for Therapeutic Supports, including counselling.
I've lived in the Redlands for nearly 20 years and have spent over 10 years supporting adults and young people as a counsellor, case worker, coach, and mentor. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across a range of human services roles, including youth work, foster care, case management, and counselling, working with individuals, families, young people, and people living with disability. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the challenges people face and the importance of having the right support at the right time.
My approach is relaxed, practical, and collaborative. I care deeply about helping people feel genuinely heard and supported, not rushed or judged. Sessions are a chance to slow things down, talk things through, and work out realistic ways forward that actually fit your life. Whether you are seeking counselling to work through a challenge, coaching to achieve personal or professional goals, or mentoring to gain guidance and support, my focus is on helping you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.

I’m also a husband and the proud father of three beautiful girls. Family life has given me a deep appreciation for the pressures, responsibilities, and emotional challenges that can come with balancing work, relationships, and wellbeing.
